Sideout VC was created to give young athletes an affordable way to learn strong volleyball fundamentals without the high cost of traditional clubs. Founded by Coach Kong, who has over 20 years of playing experience and more than a decade of coaching across multiple sports, including 5 years in volleyball, the club was built in response to parents seeking quality training without the expensive price tag. Sideout focuses on proper technique, skill development, and building a solid foundation, ensuring athletes develop the right habits while gaining confidence and success in the sport.

Join Sideout's Fall Club Tryouts! A $50 tryout spot deposit is required to reserve your athlete’s place. This deposit will be fully refunded if your child does not make the team, or it will be applied toward the final season cost if your child makes the team and accepts their spot. We’re working hard to keep costs as low as possible for families who want to get their child involved in competitive volleyball.
Final pricing will depend on league fees and tournament costs once they are confirmed.
Athletes will receive guaranteed playtime in at least one full game per match, helping build confidence and gain valuable game experience. Players will enjoy volleyball while developing skills, teamwork, and lasting friendships in a supportive environment.

About Us
Sideout Volleyball Club started simply, with me trying to help a few kids, including my own, find a way to play and enjoy volleyball. Sports have been a big part of my life. Volleyball has been part of my journey for over 20 years, and Taekwondo for more than 30 years. I’ve coached Taekwondo for over 20 years and volleyball for the past 5 years. My Taekwondo experience has shaped how I coach volleyball: focusing on discipline, patience, and helping each athlete individually develop. I started coaching volleyball because my daughters wanted to play. Like many parents, I struggled to find the right fit. Traditional volleyball clubs were often expensive, the coaching did not focus on fundamentals, and it didn’t make sense to spend thousands of dollars just to see if kids would enjoy the sport. Recreational volleyball was affordable but often relied on volunteer coaches, who may not know the game and could not coach my children appropriately. This is where I stepped in and started coaching. What began with a small group of players slowly grew over time. Parents often asked if I had my own club, and 2026 was the year that this idea became a reality. I created Sideout Volleyball Club to be affordable, allowing more families the opportunity to experience volleyball, while focusing on the fundamentals and creating an environment to help kids learn, grow, and build confidence one step at a time.
